Last night Marvin and I were on our way home to set up our fridge that we had been waiting for and the road was blocked off by the police. There were a ton of police cars and officers with big shields talking to our neighbors house. They told us we were not allowed to go to our house so we had to turn around and head back to Rod and Virginia's (marvin's mom and dad) house. The whole time we were over there all I could think about was how lucky we were that we were gone.
At about 9:30 we went to see if they were done yet and sure enough the street was open. We tried talking to a police officer to see what had happened but he wouldn't tell us anything. A little bit latter Marvin saw that the neighbor across the street was outside so he went to get the story. They said that the man that lives next door was high on something and he went into his house with a gun and barricaded himself in his house. He supposedly took everyone in the house hostage. They said that all they could think about was us. They said "We kept thinking about how you guys had just moved in and we didn't want you guys to get hurt." It's nice to have neighbors that care! They also said that the house next door is just one of those houses that the police are always looking at. I'm so glad that Heavenly Father was watching over us and keeping us safe!

Diamondback Baseball Night
Tuesday July 7th we were over at our house waiting for the painter to get done painting and Marvin got a phone call from Tarin. He got the biggest grin on his face and said yes! I had no clue what was going on. When got done talking to her, he said that Tarin had gotten some Diamondback Baseball tickets from a friend and Nate had to work late so she offered them to us. Marvin has been trying to teach me the game so I was really excited to go to my first major league game. So we got done at the house and headed over to pick up the tickets. We had just enough time when we got done at Nate and Tarin's to come home take a QUICK shower and headed to the game.
When they started playing I probably asked Marvin 100 questions on why they were doing certain things and what the calls ment. I was glad he answered them with out getting upset. Later I asked him if I was bothering him with my questions and he said no he just wanted me to understand the game. We did take some pictures but it was hard to get any good ones because the camera wouln't let us zoom in close enough. It was a really fun expierence to go and I would love to do it again. Thanks Tarin!!....................They Won the game in case you are wondering : )
