Paisley May Lunt

(Oct 3rd) I went to my last appointment on the 2nd and they told me that all we had to do was go home and wait for the hospital to call us when they had room for us since we induced. So after we dropped Marley off and got the stuff done we needed to we anxiously waited for the call. Dr. Newman said it could come anytime after midnight. I woke up almost every hour to check them phone. I was afraid the call would come in but the phone wouldn't ring and we would end up missing our window. At about 6 we couldn't sleep anymore so we decided to get ready for the day. At about 8 we still hadn't gotten the phone call so we decided to go get some breakfast. We went to McDonald's and on our way back we witnessed a guy wreak on his motorcycle Marvin pulled over to help. It turned out that when he went to turn the corner his wheel came out from under him and he crashed. When we were done helping the guy with his bike Marvin said he needed to go check on some job sites. So I agreed to go along since we hadn't gotten the call yet. At 9:30 we got to the first job site. Marvin told me he just had to stop and check to see if something had gotten done. I have been married to Marvin long enough to know that when he tells me that we will be there for about an hour at least. We ended up being there until 12. The best thing about construction is there is always something that can be done and the best thing about Papa is he will always find it. Finally we were able to leave. I was about to tell Marvin that I wanted to go see Marley since we were still waiting. As we got in the car and started to drive away Marvin's phone rang. I was so excited it was the hospital telling me that they were sorry it took so long but they had been really busy with deliveries and they were ready for us to come in. We told them we would be there shortly and headed over.

When we got to the hospital we filled out all the paperwork and they took us to our room.

The board that tells  me who my nurse is.

Once we got all settled in our room all we had left to do was wait. I was dilated to a 5 and they broke my water. The contractions started to come  on stronger and right when I decided to get my epidural they came in to tell me that the guy that does them was going to be a while because he had to go in for a C section. I waited for an hour waiting for him to come. By the time he got there I was dilated to a 6. I finally got my meds in and I was able to rest. About an hour after I got my meds I told the nurse it was time to push. They checked me and called Dr. Newman. Once he got there Marvin said I pushed for about 6 min and Paisley was here.

Paisley is a very good baby. She sleeps most of the time and at night she wakes up twice for about 30 min and then goes back to sleep. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and we are looking forward to what the future has to hold for us and our little family

Last day being a Family of 3!

October 2nd was the last day our family was a family of 3. Marvin was working most of the day so Marley and I had some girl time. It was really fun spending time with her. I sure miss her when I have to go to work.

 We painted our toes
Had a tickle fight. This is her telling me to STOP

We played with her stroller and Minnie doll

Once Marvin got home we ate dinner and then took Marley over to Rod and Virginia's.

Virginia wanted us to take some pregnancy pictures and so we did a couple.

That night I had so many emotions running through me. I was sad that I wouldn't see Marley for a few days, excited that I was about to meet Paisley, and scared/nervous for the unknown. After we said our goodbyes we went home and finished getting the last little things to meet Paisley.

I Can't Believe she is 2!!!

I can not believe how fast she is growing up. It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready to go to the hospital to have our sweet baby girl. On September 30, 2010 we got to meet our baby girl Marley for the first time. I new that having her would change my life but I didn't realize how much she would change it. Marley has taught us a lot of things. Patience, the power of prayer, Love, and faith are a few things she has taught us. Marley is Loving, independent and very smart. She picks up new words everyday. I am very happy and blessed to be her mommy and I would not trade it for the world. We Love you Marley Bear!!
